Part 2: How to obtain Vicodin.
Chapter 2: How to obtain Vicodin.
Dr. Gregory House is in pain, and thus he needs his preferred kind of opiate pain reliever.
Shouldn't he have a sizable stash somewhere in his office?
But it is not to be, for Cuddy is there, waiting for him to go to the pharmacy.
One can't skip this event to get the drugs directly., damnation.
"Its impossible to give her the slip..."
So, it is time to go back and follow this conversation path to its end.
"What an interest!"
Ah, like always, the asshole option.
"I hope for your own well, that this isn't true..."
"We are testing if there is DIC."
"Where are you going now? To the exam rooms?"
Everything but the truth!
"This is not even to talk about, today you have to work"
Literal translation of "Ni hablar de eso, hoy tienes que trabajar", or a similar line. I have not played this in Spanish, so I don't know the exact line they used there."
"You are so naive, Cuddy. Of course I'm not going to watch telly.
Do you think I would tell you if I were?"
"That's right, to the exam room."
"Who do you think you're fooling? Your wouldn't go to consults of your own will.
Not in a million years."
"Then, why do you ask?"
Well, the untrue options are spent. No other option remains other than saying the truth, but somehow I don't think that will ellicit a sympathetic response from Cuddy.
"I'm going to the pharmacy to get some vicodin. My leg begins to hurt."
"I figured as much.
I think you are going too far.
You consume much more than when you started working here."
Let's go with the insulting path.
"I mean it, House. I've given instructions not to give you any more vicodin."
"Why!?"
"You owe me lots of consult hours, and I decided, if there are no consults, there are no vicodins."
"You are too cruel. There are patients in the exam rooms!"
"Well, you'll have to swallow it if you want more pills."
"Ok, you bully!"
"OK, I will pass the authorization to the pharmacy, so they give them to you. But remember your promise, don't fail me."
"I think I'm exceeding my quota of favours..."
"I will be in my office. I have things to do."
Okay, that was possibly the lenghtiest dialog path so far. Let's see what the other ones have to say.
Yes, that is what you think it is.
"What?"
Uh. Yeah.
The response for this one is exactly the same.
So let's try this other option
"What?"
"This..."
"I remind you that apart from being a doctor, you are my employee"
"Yes, I was going to say..."
"I'm not finished yet!
This is not you... You are disappointing me."
And from there it finishes like the "And your butt is getting bigger" path.
Now that Cuddy is gone, House is free to go and get his druuuuuugs.
Wouldn't surprise me since it seems that the game populates the rooms with random sprites and such.
And there it is, the chemist.
"But, what is this? Here are just 3 miserable vicodins."
"This is the maximum that Cuddy lets me give you."
"Listen, I have nothing to do with it. If you have a problem talk to Cuddy."
"I believe I know what's up. She thinks she can fool around with me..."
The other two options have the exact same answer.
So, let us go to Cuddy's office, it is right there, next to the pharmacy.
"To keep a record of how much you consume."
"Have you turned into my mother?"
"I told you that you were taking too many, you don't need so many."
"Its not necessary that you control me! I take what I need!"
"From now on I'll decide that."
"You are playing with fire, Cuddy."
"I will take that risk.
I have things to do, see you later in your office."
Lack of apostrophes kept from the original.
And with that, Cuddy leaves her office.
"She is very wrong if she thinks she can control me.
Just a moment...
What's that on the table? Looks like a torn photo...
Let's have a look."
Oh my oh my. Another object that can be interacted with!
"Lets see what it is all about..."
Uhh, yeah.
Conveniently, all the pieces are in the correct orientation!
Hm. It is a guy. Why would Cuddy want to tear apart a guy's picture?
That means it is time to go to the Patient rooms. House is clearly interested now.
And apparently, Chase is already there.
There was no vicodin pillpopping minigame (yet), but at least there was a puzzle! Hooray!
Next time: Meeting the patient.
